Director Matt Schroeder named President of MSLA

The growth of lacrosse in the state of Mississippi made great strides this week.  Starting in Fall 2020, there will be an official lacrosse league for high school in the state of Mississippi.  The first state champion in lacrosse will be crowned May 2021.  Director and founder of No Miss lacrosse, Matt Schroeder was named president of the league.  Clarke Wise, head coach of Madlax in Madison, was named Vice President, and Andy Reese, head coach of Sacred Heart in Hattiesburg was named Secretary/Treasurer.  An advisory board from all teams will be formed this summer with final approval of policies/procedures to come at the annual meeting in Jackson.

This league will provide a framework for players to learn, grow, and compete in the great sport of lacrosse in the Magnolia State.  This is a huge step forward for the growth of the sport and our hope is at some point, becomes a state sanctioned sport within the MHSAA.
